☺Location, cleanness, staff during breakfast

☹The receptionist when I arrived before 3pm was talking on the phone. I started waiting in front of the reception. She didn't ask/contact me after hanging up. I saw other customers checking in, then I asked her if possible to check in even before 3. After all, yes.
No outlets near the beds to charge my phone.
No door to close the shower booth.

Great stay and booked again in a weeks time.

☺The double room was not big but comfortable enough for a good night sleep. Great that you can open de windows as the building was very toasty but I prefer a colder room for sleeping. Breakfast was extensive and good quality, catering for everyone’s tastes and with staff bringing food out when things ran low meant nothing run out.  The self service was constantly kept clean. Good to see that those with food allergies were also catered for in a separate section in the dining room.  
Julia at reception was very helpful, friendly and met me with a smile, spoke very good English too.

Good value basic hotel with perfect city location

☺Location perfect, very close to the sea and you can walk to everything around town. Bus stop almost in front of the entrance. Reception staffed all day. Very good Norwegian breakfast plus afternoon coffee and waffles. Comfortable bed and view of the bridge and mountain from my room. Good pressure in the shower. Elevator so nice when you come back from hiking. Good value for money in Tromsø.

☹You can occasionnally hear noise from the street and doors smashing but, as a very noise sensitive person, I found it ok and it did not disturb my sleep.
A few things should definitely be fixed in the bathroom. It was for sure manageable but still a bit irritating: light taking 1-2 minutes to turn on after pressing the switch, toilet flush button requiring skill in order to stop running and shower doors not closing properly. 
And the lighting was not quite enough in the main area of the room. A ceiling lamp there would be a good idea.

☺Location was excellent. Close to speed boats terminal and bus 42 to airport just oposite hotel! So according money perfect!

☹Beds were too soft! during night you have a feeling like at boat. Also braekfast can have more fruits and better coffee. 
There is also anounced free coffee whole day, but during one week no coffee were available - all time finished. Also wafles for free are finished soon, as there is all time que :-(  but you are not Tromso for free wafles and free coffee :) There are very good coffee houses close - try European Coffee trip app.

The rooms were clean and comfortable with comfortable bed and facilities blackout curtains to block out the daylight overnight. Breakfast was plenty full and lots of choice. One nice little touch was the free Norwegian waffles and coffee served at 5 o’clock down in the dining area which was nice and it was nice to go back to when you’ve been in on a day out waffles were delicious. I highly recommend this hotel! The room was very clean and everything was in excellent condition. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options - as a vegetarian, I was really happy with the selection, and there were also options available for people with lactose intolerance. There was a great variety of both savory and sweet food, as well as unlimited coffee and juice during breakfast.

In the afternoon, guests could also enjoy coffee and fresh waffles, which made for a lovely snack. The reception staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout the stay. The hospitality was truly outstanding, and I would gladly stay here again!

I had a wonderful stay at the Enter Amalie Hotel in Tromsø, where I spent 5 nights during my visit to the city. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and perfectly located, within easy walking distance of museums, main attractions, restaurants, and several meeting points for Arctic tours. The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of options — a perfect way to start the day before heading out to explore Tromsø or join excursions around the region. What truly made the stay special was the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Everyone was welcoming and always ready to assist with anything I needed. Good and cozy hotel! Great location! But do not arrive there late for check in!
We stayed at this cozy hotel in Tromsø and overall had a really nice experience, it’s in the center of town u can go walking pretty much everywhere so the location is perfect!! Back to the hotel… we booked the family room, which came with one big bed and a bunk bed, and it worked perfectly for us. The beds were honestly so comfortable that it was hard to get up in the morning, especially after long days out in the cold. The bathroom was pretty standard, nothing particularly special and a bit old, but still clean and functional. One downside was that the radiator in our room wasn’t working properly, so it did get quite cold at times, which wasn’t ideal considering the weather outside. The staff really stood out during our stay. They were extremely kind and helpful the entire time. Our key cards got demagnetized a few times, and they always reactivated them quickly with no hassle. They were also great at giving recommendations for city spots and activities. The hotel even offers services or partnerships with some attractions, so it’s definitely worth asking the front desk for information. One stressful moment was our arrival. We got there late on the first night, and there was no one at the reception. We had to walk to another hotel from the same company to pick up our key cards. Since we were already cold and tired from traveling, it wasn’t the best first impression. The breakfast was good and standard. A wonderful hotel that makes you feel at home.
We booked one of the apartment rooms at the Enter Amalie. It came with a delicious morning breakfast and a full kitchen and laundry with a living room and bedroom. The location is amazing, steps from city center and right near the water. The apartment felt like coming home each evening. I would like to give a special thank you to Claudia and Mary who not only helped us with every we needed but also treated us like family and even helped my 80 year old mom with her bags. If you're looking to visit Tromso and want to feel like you're really living here then this is the hotel for you. Clean and well-located hotel with a few minor drawbacks
A clean and decent hotel. The reception hours were a bit confusing, wasn't open as much as it should've been. Maybe they we're low on staff or something. Breakfast offered a small variety, but was good quality. The location was excellent, right in the heart of Tromsø. Service at reception was friendly, and because of an early checkout I was given a small breakfast bag to take along. The room was clean, though some noise from outside and the hallways could be heard, but not disturbingly so. The only real downside was the lighting in the room. Sweet hotel in centre of Tromsø
I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was easy to find, reception very friendly and helpful. I arrived at 5pm, when there were complimentary waffles and snacks in the lobby. My room was clean, basic, and comfortable. The single bed was incredibly comfortable and I slept amazingly. I could see the snowy mountains from my window, and the next morning I could see the cruise ship I was about to board. Breakfast was a buffet 7-10 with egg, bacon, beans, meatballs, ham and cheese, yoghurt, bread, and cereal. There was more than one gluten free option. Fruit juices, tea and coffee too. Well located for everything. Eurospar is a great supermarket if you need to get anything, considering how expensive Norway can be, it was very reasonable.

Superb little hotel snack bang in the centre!
Tip!: Get a buss from the airport, not the express! Download the Svipper app and from the exit of the airport, walk down the stairs and head toward the big building directly across from you, where the busses stop. The no 24 stops just down the road. Superb hotel, smack bang in the centre of town. The rooms are compact but just what you need, the bathrooms are clean and the underfloor heating is marvellous! This is not a 5* hotel, but it is one of the cheaper options in Tromso (which is just expensive across the board. It’s just a fact.) But the basics are all catered for brilliantly. The checkout time of noon is welcome, and they can store luggage for you on the day of departure. The breakfast is brilliant, with a full scandi array of meat, fish and salads, as well as hot bacon, eggs etc. Coffee and tea available in the lounge 24hrs, and the waffles at 5 on a weekday are superb! Have them with slices of brown cheese and jam! The staff are super friendly and can’t do enough to help and advise on local restaurants, attractions etc. We will be back.
